At #40 and #41 the Pats take Ron Brace DT from Boston College, and Darius Butler DB from UCONN.  New England took #40 from Oakland, sending back #47 overall plus a 4th and 6th rounder this year.  A pair of guys from nearby schools.  All defense so far for the Pats, but no linebackers as we thought.  Still more selections to come for the Pats tonight, stay tuned.

More on Patrick Chung: Started almost every game in four years with the Ducks.  Recorded nearly 400 tackles, with 9 INTs, 4 sacks and 26 passes defensed.  According to Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe, he’s a run-stuffing complement to the coverage style that Merriwether and Sanders both prefer to play.
